This week, Colorado saw massive amounts of snow in the mountains! Now, snow is on the ground across almost the entire state. Vail's snowfall was particularly impressive. More than 20 inches of fresh snow fell on Vail Mountain! With the recent cold weather, this snow isn't going away anytime soon.

Ski season has been slow to start this year because of abnormally dry, warm weather. Many resorts that typically open in the middle of the month were forced to postpone opening. Vail was tentatively set to open November 11, but now the opening date is set in stone! The terrain that will be available at the start of the season remains to be seen.
