June 11, 2018
Listen Now!
Summer has officially started in Vail with great weather in the forecast, giving you the opportunity to enjoy all the adventures the mountain has to offer.

And if hiking, mountain biking, rafting and fishing is not enough for you, Vail has a schedule full of various events to keep everybody in your group entertained. Check the list below to see what you don't want to miss this coming weekend.
Vail Craft Beer Classic June 14-17
This is the perfect event to treat dad to. Not only is the Vail Craft Beer Classic the highest altitude beer tasting, it is also one of the most adventure packed beer festivals. During the four days of the event you will have the opportunity to sample local Colorado craft brews, learn some brewers' secrets while hiking or mountain biking with the experts, and try some unexpectedly delicious beer and food pairings prepared by local chiefs. Some of our favorite events of the Craft Beer Classics are Sip at the Summit, Bikes & Barley, Toast of Vail, and the Father's Day Beerchun. Information for the rest of the beer fun to be had in town during the festival weekend see the full schedule and prices information.

King of the Mountain Open June 15-17
The event that truly celebrates summer in the mountains is returning to Vail for its 46th anniversary, and we cannot wait. What better way to show your love to dad than playing together in the Father/Son or the Father/Daughter division of this volleyball tournament? In addition to the family divisions, the King of the Mountain tournament offers a Masters/Seniors division, an adult same sex division, junior boys and girls divisions and Co-Ed division. The event also has a juniors clinic with past Olympians and beach professionals helping to develop future beach stars and beach volleyball fanatics.

Whistle Pig Vail
The inaugural concert from the newest summer concert series to come to the Ford Amphitheater is scheduled for Saturday, the 16th of June. For a perfect ending of a day in the mountains, come see Dispatch in one of the best outdoors venues in Colorado, and support this new music festival that promises to bring rock, pop, country and bluegrass icons to Vail. Come back on June 19th for Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, back to back concerts of The Jerry Garcia Birthday Band on August 17th and 18th, and 311 with special guests the MTHDS on September 13. Get more information for the event and tickets here.

Vail Farmers' Market June 17-October 7
The weekly farmers market on Meadow Drive in Vail Village is an event worth a trip to the mountains on its own, and if you are in town for the weekend, you definitely don't want to miss it. Much more than a farmers' market, this Sunday extravaganza is an experience for all senses - combining the bright colors of the summer with produce from local farms and art from Colorado and around the world. There will also be the sounds of live music featuring different genes from jazz, to country and blue grass, as well as the mouthwatering smells of the food cooked right in front of you.
