Where to enjoy fireworks in the Vail area for New Year's Eve

If you're in Vail, come to Golden Peak to watch the annual Torchlight Parade and fireworks. Starting at 6:15 p.m. you can watch as ski instructors and Vail locals form a glowing train as they ski down Golden Peak with glowing sticks followed by a fireworks display.

Downvalley on New Year's Eve - free for everyone to attend - there will be fireworks and an open house at the Gypsum Rec Center from 5-7:15pm on Dec 31st. The best place to park is at the Eagle Valley High School lots or lower Rec Center lots. The Gypsum Sports Complex lot will be closed all day for firework prep. Cooley Mesa Road will be closed from 6:45-7:45pm for safety.


Kid's activities will start at 5pm and include gymnastics, inflatables and swimming. For safety, space will be limited so please be patient when waiting your turn. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.

Adult activities will be out on the patio from 5-7:15pm with a cash bar provided by the Gypsum Chamber and live music from local band 'Talking in Circles'.

The towns of Gypsum and Eagle would like to make sure you do not miss fireworks in 2018. The fireworks from 4th of July will be presented at 7pm. The fireworks are best viewed from the Lundgren Amphitheater lawn.
