With all this powder on the ground in Vail, you may not have realized that the fantastic skiing is not just limited to downhill skiing. The Vail Summit Orthopaedics Nordic Town Series kicks off Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. on the beautiful rolling wooded trails at Maloit Park in Minturn. Both adults and children are invited to participate in this four-part Nordic Town Series event. An après awards party and prizes top off the Dec. 23 races at The Minturn Saloon. Future competitions will be Jan. 13 at Maloit Park, Feb. 3 at Cordillera in Edwards, and Mar. 19 at Maloit Park. You can register on site on the day of event.
