It is early December and Vail is bursting with events.There is something to do for everybody — from guided snowshoe tours to aprés parties and anything in between. With Vail Snow Days and the early holiday events, so much is happening in the next two weeks. To make sure you do not miss anything we give you a list of our favorite pre-holiday events in town.
  
Free Mountaintop Yoga - December 8  
Come to the top of Eagle Bahn Gondola for a free Mountaintop Yoga Class. There is no better way of starting the day than a good stretch while breathing crisp mountain air. The gondola starts uploading at 9am and the class begins at 9:30am. It is about an hour long and free for participants but lift tickets are not included.
Santa's Workshop 
December 8
Santa's Workshop gives kids the opportunity to visit with and have their picture taken with Santa, as well as participate in holiday crafts. Children can personalize photo frames, make ornaments, create gifts and decorate cookies. This annual event is FREE for children of all ages. 
Guided Snowshoe Tour -December 8 
Snowshoe across the base of Vail Mountain from Golden Peak to Lionshead with the professionals from the Vail Nordic School. Your guide will talk about flora, fauna, local area history and much more.The tour is about 1.5 miles from Golden Peak to Lionshead. Meeting time is 3:30 pm at Golden Peak Nordic Desk located off the lobby of Larkspur Restaurant in Golden Peak. Snowshoe tour runs from 4-5 pm and it is perfect for adults and kids above 14. You don not need to bring your own snowshoes but make sure to wear warm clothes and boots.  
Aprés Party -December 8
The aprés party at The Tavern on Vail Square starts at 3 pm with great drink specials and live music. Passholders will enjoy a one day super special — just flash your pass from 3pm to 6pm and enjoy a Buy 1-Get 1 Free drink.
Family Skating ‘n S’mores - December 9
Enjoy free ice skating and s’mores roasting at The Arrabelle at Vail Square Ice Rink between 4pm and 5pm. Adults can also enjoy the aprés party at The Tavern from 3pm to 6pm with a full live band featuring Mr. Brent Gordon and Friends.
Free concert presented by Bud Light - December 9
Headliner for the main event of Vail SnowDaze are The Greyboy Allstars with an opening performance by the Eminence Ensemble. The concert will take place at Solaris in Vail Village, the venue opens at 5:30pm with the concert scheduled to begin at 6pm.

Holiday Sweater Run - December 16
Come to Checkpoint Charlie to kicking off the holidays with a Holiday Sweater Run. Show off your favorite festive winter sweater in a friendly competition. Prizes will be given for best dressed. Start is at 8 am and the 2.7-mile race will showcase the beauty of Vail. Fun along the way. More info at www.vailholidays.com  
Kris Kringle Market - December 16 and 17
A Holiday market is the perfect place to find a unique Holiday gift or souvenir, such as handmade toys, Christmas ornaments and decorations, cookies, chocolate treats, roasted nuts and more. The Vail Kris Kringle Market is promising to make the visitors’ experience an unforgettable one. Enjoy live music, St. Nick, local craft vendors, authentic food and drink, and a true spirit of the Holiday Season.
Ice Skating & Cookie Decorating - December 17
Ice Skating with the Vail Ice Skating Club and cookie decorating. Watch out for St. Nick mingling about.
Holiday Tree Lighting - December 17
Town of Vail Tree Lighting. Come see local children from the Vail Children’s Choir sing, the Town of Vail Mayor, St Nick and more.
