The Vail Recreation District partners with Vail Valley Medical Center once again for Pink Vail on Saturday, April 2, 2016, with guests skiing to conquer cancer. The day-long event includes themed deck parties, all-day live music, a costume contest, prizes and VIP events, as well as discounted lodging starting at $119 per night. Pink Vail Headquarters will be located at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola at Eagle's Nest, easily accessible by skiers, non-skiers and children. Complimentary foot passes are available.
Founded in 2012, Pink Vail is unique in that 100% of the proceeds benefit patient care and survivorship programs for all patients at the Shaw Regional Cancer Center, a non-profit cancer center located in the Vail Valley. Programs include exercise training, emotional support, nutritional coaching and more. Last year Pink Vail numbers hit an all-time high with $720,000 raised, thanks to 2,424 participants, 162 teams, 4,617 donors, and 360 volunteers. Within four years, Pink Vail has raised nearly $1.8 million for patients with all types of cancer at Shaw Regional Cancer Center.
